Board Certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, Dr. David Kaler has been providing state-of-the-art orthopaedic services since 1983. He is an active staff physician in the Department of Surgery with two of the largest hospitals in Port Charlotte; Peace River Regional Medical Center, Fawcett Memorial Hospital and also has privileges at DeSoto Memorial Hospital. Dr. Howard Saslow is a Fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon who has been practicing in Charlotte County since 1986. Dr. Saslow has hospital affiliations at Fawcett Memorial Hospital, DeSoto Memorial Hospital and Peace River Regional Medical Center. He was Vice Chief of Medical Staff and Chief of Medical Staff at Fawcett Memorial Hospital before joining the practice. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Saslow graduated from the State University of New York at Buffalo. After Medical school he completed a clerkship at the United States Public Health Service Hospital in Staten Island, and a fifth pathway at the State University of New York at the Downtown Medical Center College of Medicine, Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Saslow completed both surgical and orthopaedic residences at The Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and at the Wrightington Center for Hip Surgery in England. Phoebe Oakes, MSN, DNP, ANP-C is licensed to practice in Florida and Wisconsin. She is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, and has been practicing in Charlotte County for over 3 years. She is also fluent in French. Phoebe was born in Edmundston, New-Brunswick, Canada. She received her bachelor’s of science of nursing from Bellin College of Nursing in Green Bay, Wisconsin and obtained her Master’s degree and Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Concordia University Wisconsin.
