Fellowship Trained
Knee and Hip Replacement
Dr. Howard Saslow is licensed to practice in the states of Florida, New York and North Carolina. He is a fellowship trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. Dr. Saslow has been practicing in Charlotte County for over twenty years.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Dr. Saslow received his under graduate degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo. After Medical school he completed a clerkship at the United States Public Health Service Hospital in Staten Island, and a fifth pathway at the State University of New York at the Downtown Medical Center College of Medicine, Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn. Dr. Saslow completed both surgical and orthopaedic residences at The Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York. He went on to complete at the Wrightington Center for Hip Surgery in England.
Dr. Saslow has been practicing in Port Charlotte since 1986. He has hospital affiliations at Fawcett Memorial Hospital and Peace River Regional Medical Center. He previously held positions of Vice Chief of Medical Staff and Chief of Medical Staff at Fawcett Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Saslow believes strongly in continuing education, and he continues to attend numerous national and state continuing education courses to keep current with new treatment techniques.
After years of owning his own orthopaedic surgery practice, Dr. Saslow joined Charlotte Orthopaedic Clinic in February of 2009.
In his free time, Dr. Saslow enjoys restoring old cars.
